This Is A Man's World

That might account for a few of the problems we're having but, nonetheless, it's a man's world.

A report prepared for UN Human Rights Commissioner, Louise Arbour, catalogues discrimination faced by women in almost every country around the world.

Here are a few findings. 70% of the world's poor are women. Only 1% of titled land worldwide is registered to women. 53 countries have still not made rape within marriage a crime.

Yes but Dubya is fixing that problem in Afghanistan. Now you can buy girls there - so you can do whatever you want with your property. He is bringing democracy in Afghanistan, you know.

HI LD. Yeah there's no question all our bragging about liberating Afghan women and children was just a come on to get support from the Canadian public. I don't know when we'll be out of there but we'll be packing that shame back with us when we leave.

When men think it is perfectly okay to have sex with 12 year old girls and then laugh about it, how will attitudes toward women by males improve? It is that low on the scale of decency and stems from that standpoint. That is not to say all men believe that women must be kept in their place but it is the majority mind set.
