Racism Lives in New York

The Big Apple's right-wing, pro-Zionist rag, the New York Post, has gone over the top with the cartoon shown above published yesterday. This is inexcusable. It has nothing to do with free speech. It's depicting their president as a dead chimp. The Post deserves whatever it gets and it's got a lot coming.

The paper is owned by Rupert Murdoch. No word yet on his reaction.

I pretty much think you're the racist. I would of never made the connection between the dead chimp and the fact Barack is black if it wouldn't of been for you!lol Now, politicians and every celelbrities are often depicted in non-respectful ways. I'm quite sure George Bush got his fair share. Are only white people aloud to be "bashed"? If you climb up the curtains everytime you see a non-white public person being badly depicted in a newspaper cartoon, you're going to run out of energy quite soon! You're quite easily shocked. I'm quite certain that a liberal like you never opposed any bad tasting George Bush (not that I like the guy either) cartoons when he was in power.

Depicting a black man as a chimp is about as low as it gets - a dead chimp even worse. Apparently it's just not low enough for the likes of you, Anon. Aren't you running late for the lynching?

Do you think only blackmen are portrayed chimps? I've got news for you. Every politician and alot of celebrities have been depicted as chimps. Is it because he's a blackman that he should have preferential treatment? or do you think that black politicians are so much more sensitive than white politicians that they should be spared their feelings? That would be racist wouldn't it. Here's just one website dedicated at portraying Bush as a chimps. Please explain the double standards that you apply to black politicians vs white politicians:

Anon, I will give it you that Bush was repeatedly depicted as an ape. I did it too. But where is he shown shot dead and a caption “they will have to find someone else to fight the Iraq war.” There is a very atrocious and subliminal message there which only Murder-hawk paper could think off. It is not much different than blacks being depicted as hung from a tree in some southern states by KKK. That is what makes it blatantly racist.

Again, you make associations which are quite imaginative. I would of never thought about it. I guess you can find racism pretty much anywhere then. This is like walking on eggshells. People are not able to make fun of a public person in office unless he's white. When you take a person of color, especially black, you never know how people might use their imaginations to interpret something as being racist. Believe me, there always is a way of interpreting anything as being racist. For all I know, you could even see racism in a guy throwing a cream pie (which has happened to white politicians in the past) in a black politicians face. People like you would probably see that it's racism because the white of the cream pie on that person's face means that the thrower would rather see a white person ruling their country.

Your argument is absolutely lame and ridiculous. Show me a single picture of Chimp Bush dead/killed.

Look Anon, stop hiding in hypotheticals and look at the facts. In America, "monkey" is a racist perjorative for black people. One of the greatest concerns in the election of Obama was the prospect of assassination by racists a la MLK. You may not have known this but America has a rich history of racial violence toward its black population. So, to depict a president as a monkey lying dead on a sidewalk shot twice by two white men is astonishingly racist. This is so far over the line that only "people like you" would work so hard to avoid seeing that.

All that the cartoon wanted to say was that the stimulus bill was so bad that a monkey may as well have written it. The press was far more cruel to W and other former presidents than to Obama. It was also related to an incident on Monday (I believe) where police officers had to shoot a chimp who was attacking a lady. Anyways... Good luck with your blog and keep on continuying to find racism wherever it may be...
