Western civilians don't fare too well when out in the boonies in Afghanistan even when they are welcome. The UN maintains a thin net of observers but only Karzai's people and his allies' are at every poll. There are plenty just sitting around for the taking. In some circumstances the poll just remains closed all day. The whole thing is a farce.

Do they not have international observers like they made sure to have in Venezuela, Haiti and the Palestinian Territories?
And if so, is it a reputable group?
