Compare to Stephen Harper's views on drugs and the drug trade. Clearly he gets the part about who profits, but when it comes to connecting the dots, like the mighty Casey, old Stevie strikes out again.

As this ex-cop so convincingly argues, there is no rational justification for criminalizing drugs. None whatsoever. It only makes everything worse.

Sadly, there's opportunity to be found in the misery of others if you really want to find it.

Anything Nixon started is suspect, but 4 decades later and given the weight of evidence against the War on drugs, it makes me wonder if it's continued existence is simply a matter of political cowardice or something far more sinister?

If we had more information on the Worlds' tax havens, that might shed some light. It will be interesting to see if young Trudeau's Liberals have the mettle to commit to real change.
