What? How Did This Get Past the G&M Editors?

This is incredible coming from the pipeline promoting, bitumen boosting Globe & Mail.   An urgent appeal to our next provincial government to deal with our environmental challenges.   That includes saving our remaining stocks of old growth trees like this giant from the Upper Walbran valley on Vancouver Island.

Is there any other place in Canada you can find trees this magnificent?

Harper has so emasculated and corrupted the Department of Fisheries and Oceans that one of the recommendations is that British Columbia simply step in and take over.   Maybe, since Harper wants to strip us of the protection of the Canadian Coast Guard, we should take over that function too.

As a former Quebeker, Ontarian, Texan, Saudi Arabian and Californian, I can say without reservation, BC is the most sublime of provinces and I haven't ventured far outside Vancouver! Two very young and very beautiful women on the bus today were talking about how they can't trust the NDP and will vote Liberal. I couldn't help think that cutey Clark might have swayed their vote.

Well, amigo, as you'll know by now, those two young beauties weren't alone. Disaster. Despite a dozen years of corruption, scandal and rank dishonesty, we have returned to power with a few more seats our corrupt, scandal-ridden and dishonest government. They are now free to run wild.
